New Vice President of Enterprise Solutions has 30+ years’ experience architecting real-world solutions and driving business outcomes.
June 16, 2020, Reston, Va. – Octo is pleased to announce Senior Director of Enterprise Solutions James Farley has been promoted to Vice President of Enterprise Solutions. In his new capacity, Farley will be responsible for architecting real-world solutions and driving business outcomes while overseeing Octo’s five Centers of Excellence that lead the creation of core services and capabilities.
“I’m truly excited about the possibilities this position offers,” Farley said. “Octo is poised to demonstrate its leadership in emerging technologies, and through its five Centers of Excellence, I aim to make our newest solutions accessible to our current and future federal customers who can benefit from Octo’s capabilities.”
Farley brings more than 30 years’ experience developing initiatives, policies, and processes for the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and Federal Civilian market. Before joining Octo, James served as Director of Business Development and Chief Architect, Enterprise Information Technology at AECOM Management Services; Chief Architect, Civilian Solutions at GDIT; and Technical Director for TNCCENT (DISA) at CACI Federal Systems. James served in the U.S. Navy for 16 years, reaching the rank of Chief Petty Officer providing maintenance and operations direction for multiple communications and intelligence facilities, supporting fleet systems engineering teams and managing electronics systems readiness.

A GSA certified CIO, James has certifications through (ISC)2, the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation, and Project Management Institute. He holds an M.S. and MBA from University of Maryland Global Campus and a B.S. from Excelsior College.
